Good day,
Many hours have been invested in packaging and writing/research this week. Let’s look at the package.
Bit #1
In the last issue, the package was in landscape. Like this one.
A few of you pointed out a design would be better in portrait orientation for the sake of shelfspace and being able to hang it from a hook. We also had the chance to update a few copy issues. And here is the version out today.
The next aim is to share this option with retail organizations. Here, we’re thinking grocery coop groups and the like. Know anyone?
We’ll also share these with parent organizations for raising funds for youth sports. Know anyone? Think, use a code and raise money.
In both cases our donation remains to school lunch debt per sharpening. Yet, the customer will receive a code to use at checkout to track donations and to provide a discount in the retail context (purchase for $9.99 and receive a $15 off when ordering is our trial offer).
In both of these cases the customer will start with the package in their hand before coming to the website. That raises additional code needs that will require API wrangling which continues to be TBD.
Bit #2
Loaners have been available with sharpening. However, that offering now has its own page. This helps with ad unit architecture as well as customer awareness. Both Japanese (shown here) and German style loaner options are now available.
Bit #3
And that leaves the original packaging on it’s own page.
The sum of the offerings are now three. Original 3 way shipping. The loaners which make for 4 way shipping and finally the retail and fundraising options that are both two way shipping (no loaners available in those cases).
Sum
There are now three different ways to purchase knife sharpening online from Vivront and they are all expressed in packaging. I had thought there would only ever be one way a few months ago. We’ll test these and see what happens.
What sticks out to you?
Change
Ski season starts tomorrow. The local slopes will be open! We’ll see what kiddos I can talk into going.
We had a great Beaujolais Nouveau party last weekend. So fun. These are the first grapes from the 2021 growing season. It’s a Gamay grape from the Beaujolais area of France, just North of Lyon (in the eastern portion (middle) of the country), that makes Beaujolais Nouveau. These come in Nouveau, Village and Cru quality levels. For those interested, #4, Domain des 3 Vallons Villages was the hands down favorite of the party. Run. Go buy some. Due to shipping costs and delays there is far less Beaujolais in the country this year (the ship needed to be re-routed and a semi-trailer got in a crashed with wine bound for some southern state supplies). Moreover, the growing season dynamics this year has cut the supply even further. Keep a lookout. The cru versions might be late to the shelves but of higher quality than previous years. Might. We’ll see.
We’ve been posting some videos to YouTube for Vivront to support the knife course we’re building. The view count is either in the single digits or as many as 1.7k in 7 days. The majority of the views come from shorts. Who knew. I should have put a logo on the videos. More here.
On Your Way
Enjoy the next few days. Give thanks. We’re processing O2. We can see the sunshine. It’s a joy to be alive when we decide it’s a joy to be alive. Happy Thanksgiving!
